Policy Priorities

  • Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our economy and the foundation of our rural communities. I will support policies that keep agriculture strong, reduce unnecessary regulations, and ensure producers have the freedom to operate and grow their operations. When agriculture succeeds, our entire state succeeds.

  • South Dakotans deserve open, transparent government that is accountable to the people it serves. I will support responsible oversight of taxpayer dollars while ensuring state employees are paid fair, competitive salaries so we can attract and retain qualified public servants.

  • Teachers play a critical role in shaping the future of our communities, which is why we must prioritize competitive salaries to attract and retain excellent educators in South Dakota. Investing in teachers is ultimately an investment in our students and the long-term strength of our state. At the same time, every student should graduate from high school prepared for the next step in life. That means strengthening career and technical education, expanding opportunities in the trades, and making sure students have the skills they need for college or the workforce.

  • Property rights are a cornerstone of freedom in South Dakota and must always be protected. Landowners should have the final say over how their land is managed, and the government should not interfere with decisions that belong to families and property owners. I will stand firmly for policies that respect those rights and ensure landowners are treated fairly.

  • I believe every life is valuable and worth protecting. I will always stand up for the unborn and support policies that defend the sanctity of life.

  • The Second Amendment is a fundamental right that protects our freedoms. I will always defend the right of law-abiding South Dakotans to keep and bear arms.

  • Strong economic development keeps our communities growing and creates opportunities for the next generation to stay in South Dakota. I will support plans that encourage investment, support local businesses, and attract responsible new industries that improve the economic well-being and quality of life in our communities.
