Meet Regan
Regan Bollweg is a lifelong South Dakotan, fifth-generation farmer, and conservative Republican running for the South Dakota House of Representatives in District 24. Raised in Harrold, South Dakota, Regan grew up learning the values that define rural communities: faith, hard work, responsibility, and respect for the land. His family’s farming operation and pheasant hunting lodge taught him early on the importance of stewardship, perseverance, and preserving South Dakota traditions for future generations.
Regan attends South Dakota State University, where he will be graduating in May with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business. While in college, he competed as a Division I athlete in both football and wrestling, experiences that strengthened his discipline, resilience, and leadership. He also served as a distinguished student senator and Vice President of Turning Point USA, where he was actively involved in campus leadership and advocating for conservative principles.
Regan’s passion for serving South Dakota led him to gain firsthand experience in government and public policy. While in college, he interned for U.S. Senator Mike Rounds, where he saw how sound policy directly impacts rural communities, agriculture, and small businesses like those his family operates. He has also spent significant time at the South Dakota State Capitol in Pierre, observing the legislative process and learning how policy decisions shape the future of the state.
As a candidate for the State House, Regan is committed to bringing a new generation of leadership to Pierre. He strongly supports protecting private property rights and standing with farmers and ranchers, recognizing that agriculture remains the backbone of South Dakota’s economy. He is also advocating for higher teacher salaries and competitive pay for state employees, along with meaningful reforms that strengthen educational outcomes for South Dakota students.
For Regan, leadership is rooted in service, accountability, and staying true to the values that built South Dakota. He believes the next generation must step forward to protect the state’s traditions, support its producers, and ensure communities remain strong for decades to come.
